As one of Hamilton Health Sciences' largest hospital building projects, this modern medical facility includes approximately 425,000 square feet of new construction and 35,000 square feet of renovated space.  The new facility houses a state-of-the-art emergency department, an expanded intensive care and cardiac care unit, inpatient beds for cancer care, eight new operating rooms and an additional cancer therapy suite that can also be used as alternative operating space.  The are also 14 negative pressure rooms to facilitate infection control.
